Well black hair grows too and if u take care of it it will grow long and healthy. Check out Etaeproducts.com. its an awsome line of all natural products that do what they say they'll do. I swear by the caramel treatment because it makes my hair so soft that i can wear my hair straight or in its natural curly state.

I really don't think it matters what race you are. Everyones hair grows at different rates. For example my hair grows extremely fast. But my sister cannot get her hair to grow.

I know it sounds stupid, but get regular haircuts. Getting the damaged stuff off the ends helps your hair become stronger, and it won't break off (that might be happening since you say you have fine hair) -- that will allow it to grow longer.

Your hair probably just grows at a slower rate. Everyone is different and it doesn't have anything to do with race.
