How strange it would be, people being superstitious and fallible would still have religions - since they can't all be true if God didn't exist they wouldnt on the face of it be very different. People could invent a fictional afterlife to ameliorate their fears of death - and as death would be an end to existence nobody would ever be able to say there was no such place. Imagine if the laws of physics always held and that science was a way to describe reality.

Imagine no prayer being heard - ever - some would seem to be answered as what the asker pleaded for came to pass spontaneously - others denied more cruelly by the fickle laws of probability could claim God had other things on his mind or worked in mysterious ways.

What would that kind of world be like?

No this is nothing to do with the anthropic principle - I'm just saying that without God thats how things 'would' be.

Please, some of you at least see the irony - Please, fundies - that doesn't mean 'something like iron'

In fact there's an atheist saying the world would be better if God didnt exist? What a confused person.

You mean the world would be exactly the same as it is right now? LOL The irony was obvious to me at least.

Well just to mention a world without God would be total chaos. The laws that we have come from the Ten Commandments. Imagine a world that followed only one commandment. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Wow think of the sexually transmitted diseases that wouldnt be running rampant and killing millions. No marriages broken up by the sin of cheating on your spouse. No murders because you laid with someone elses spouse. Less children growing up in one parent homes cause of not cheating. Lets look at this world with a God and put His commandments to use everyday and see what a better place this would be to live. Amen and Peace out................

no I can't imagine a world without God and as for myself I can imagine a world with out his son Jesus. but for others who do not share my believes may be living a life such as this and if that is how they choose to live that way then that is up to them. But as for me and my house we will serve the lord.

Exactly the same as one with a God it seems.

Sorry dude, you're appealing to the strong anthropic principle there, that one's been negated. Weak still holds but doesn't apply here.

A world without your god would be a better world. Your god supports some of the worst things on the planet. Intolerance, prejudice, persecution, hatred.... I can keep going.

If God was not present here on earth then we all would be in hell, and believe me this is not hell. hell is a gazillion times worse than earth. yes earth is a bad place but it is still not like hell because God's children are here. There is still much to be grateful for.
