To this world, that is the creation which is nature. Look how the irresponsible self has taken us to - Global warming. There is no quick solution to the Kyoto meet. Can any religion or a nation bail you out of droughts, famines, starvation and death? So respect and protect nature and it will take care of you.

Definately not to religion! That is a man made delusion!

Well for me I have responcibilities to the Nation but only because I am in the Army.

Somewhat nature. After all I am part of this planet and thus a part of nature. However I'm not a tree hugger so I'm not going nuts on the nature thing.

Mostly though to myself! And those close to me that I choose to take care of!

Interesting you didn't mention a God. Must be because of the obvious fact that there really is NO GOD! Only religion that was created by man to control man!

We are definitely responsible to Nature, for the first two are creations of human beings. Being responsible to Nature in itself makes us responsible ot our own self, for without Nature we can't exist.

If a man is not responsible to himself first, and does not hold himself responsible to himself first, there is no saving him; he has no honor, no dignity, no courage, no pride. He is a pitiable thing unfit to be called human.

A man who is responsible to himself and holds himself responsible is the only hope there is for the world.

It makes me feel like Diogenes looking for an honest man given the state of the world today.

We have a responsibility to do and be the best that we can without harming others, or this earth, in the process. And to try and make a difference. Do that and everything else falls into place.

Above all things, to God. Then to our family, our country, to our local area, to our society--especially if we happen to be female, as the burden of civilization is on us--and on down the line. And finally to ourselves, because if we are not responsible to ourselves, what is left?
Generally, you could just take that down step by step, according to the extent of the influence involved.
If, instead, you are asking to which should our highest responsibility be assigned, the answer is always God, because He is above all things, and screwing Him just screws yourself, too.

you are always responsible to yourself. but you are responsible to God as well. i think that is why so many people are atheists (or unbelievers), because then they can do whatever they want to without having to worry about being responsible to an Almighty God who will punish them for their actions.
