Asking a question like this is like a mirror in the hands of all religious people and religious people can hardly stand to look at themselves critically. You are right...religious people won't hold your question type mirror up to contemplate their flaws.
I don't think most religious people have looked at their own intentions for years and their intentions have gotten very, very dirty through years of neglect. So many religions are so busy criticizing and looking for the flaws in other people that they can't even see, that they are not part of the solution but part of the problem THEMSELVES!
I have a great analogy...There are two fish each swimming in a different fish bowl. One is swimming in very clean water and thinks every thing he sees outside his little world is very nice and fresh looking. The other one is swimming around in very dirty, algae filled water and everything he sees outside his little world is very nasty, stinky and "sinful".
Now who's world is nasty, stinky and "sinful"? It would be nearly impossible to get a religious person to suck on that question for a while. Cowards indeed!

Religious People donot talk of Religion as it is related to God Family, since all Religions preach God family is supreme.
If you / we talk about Religion with so many passing of comments, ultimately it is bad thing of doing to supreme.
Religion is one's Privacy and shud not publicised for gaining attendence.
Hence Good , and Helping , points without affecting other Religion shud be nature of Human with so many talents.

Might be a far-fetched idea, but the more the various religions bash each other, the more "buddhism" sounds good, since i doubt very few wars, if any, have been carried out in his name (although there might have been abuses for personal gain).
anyhow, i would seperate the bashings to either "immature" or "zealous".
and i'm an atheist btw. have faith in humanity.

Good point. Religious tolerance is a good thing. That's why I only bash stupidity here.

A favorite proverb of mine, from Africa: "A man does not become taller by knocking another man down." I live by that. I try to work on self and not go around trying to knock down others to look taller.

No it doesn't, at least not for me. Being told that it's "His way or you'll be casted forever into the lake of fire" doesn't do anything to win me over. I tend to want to avoid hateful people.
