i would have to say that it takes time to love someone. while at first glance a lot can be relayed, and there could definitely be chemistry, that doesn't mean you love them at first glance. if you ask someone "what is it that you love about a person?", they're usual response includes a lot of little details... little idiosyncrasies that they're loved one has and that they really like and would miss if they didn't have them around any more.
I'd say it's more "lust at first glance" rather than love. i mean right off the bat, most people get a vibe on what kind of person someone is... but as anyone can tell you, looks can be deceiving.

Love takes time to grow, of course. First glance is very important - there are a lot of things we can deduce from this first impression. But the deep feeling we usually call love develops and grows with time.

All depends...If you do meet a person cn happend that is a first glance...Depends of the situation and sometimes it takes a few dates for grow that love fro that person...Spending time togeter and sharing is all about it most of the time...But time to grow is because both or one of them want to careful about their choices and is nothing wrong with that...When you love a person at first glance is because you when blind and are careless it just happen sometimes that is a good one not all the time so been careful is recomended...

Nah I dont think its in first glance, a huge attraction and chemistry can be at first glance, then ur heart will start beating like hell but that doesn't mean its love, its just attraction. So yea it takes time for love to really be love, for some its more time and for others its just not.

I'm sure it can be with some people, but not with me.
I met my wife just over two years ago. We'd met over the Internet (Yahoo Personals, if you must know) and had our first date four days after I answered her ad.
We really hit it off immediately, and it didn't take me long to fall head over heels (definitely in the first month, but I didn't tell her until after Valentine's Day 2005). I proposed after four months of dating. We married 13 months after that (I needed to finish grad school first). Our 8-month-aversary is the 24th.
My father used to claim that I would walk around the corner and fall in love with a girl. What he didn't know, and what he STILL doesn't know, is that this was mere infatuation combined with lust... and I was a typical horny teen 30 years ago.

People claim that there is such a thing as love at first sight. But think about this - In their dating lives people see a thousand people and go "WOW" to themselves. Then they marry one and all of a sudden say, well it must have been love at first sight because I remember the way I felt when I fist saw her - I said "WOW". But they said that about others too, they just so happen to be marrying this one. It's coincidence, not destiny.

There is a spark on first meeting. With time the spark can grow into true love.

Can someone know and understand everything about you, your personality, your hopes, dreams, goals, fears, style, emotions, hobbies, religion, level of responsibility, future plans, desire for children, past history, family relations, favorite color, foods, TV shows, ways to spend time, if you like camping, etc. etc. etc. just by looking at you?
