You are 15, he is 20. In addition to being against the law, it is a terrible idea. Seems to me that you are fascinated about his 'hood life' as you call it. Why do you want to get involved with someone who is in the hood, getting drunk and high while you have the good life.
You need to enjoy being 15, hang out with your friends and stop chasing after older guys. I am impressed that this guy is trying to push you away instead of taking advantage of you.

Actually, I know it doesn't seem that 5 years apart is not much, but it is, because your under age and he's considered as an adult, so you can both get into a lot of trouble and he can get put into jail. This is going on right now and I know that is someone says wait until your older, it seems like a long time to wait, but time really does fly, and before you know it you will be 18 and from there on it's you decision. : ) Good Luck

5 years is a big difference depending on what age they are. 15 and 20 are far apart. While you're worrying about high school graduations, he's worrying about jobs, and bills and moving out, and just, well, bigger issues. When you're 20 and he's 25, then it's not such a big deal, cuz you're at a more similar time in your life.

no matter how mature you think you are, you're not on the same level as a 20 year old. and maturity really doesn't have anything to do with it anyways...IT'S ILLEGAL! you could get him in a lot of trouble (believe me, ive seen it happen) and if you care about him then you wouldn't want him going to jail for 10 years for being with you

Don't do it!!!
I think everyone agrees with me.
Besides, I think it's illegal for a 20-year old to date a 15-year old.
You're so young, go find a guy...YOUR AGE...who isn't into alcohol and drugs and start ACTING YOUR AGE!!
Sorry, I may seem harsh, but WAKE UP!

Are you mental? You are in love with an idea, do you really want to be referred to as a "b*tch" by some doped up loser who's entire aspiration is to get shot by someone? Get real and grow up. You are not mature at all if you can't see it.

In terms of maturity, yes. 15 and 20 is very far apart. He is an adult, you are not.

Five years isn't that far apart, when you're in your thirties and on up, but when you're 15 and the other is 20, it is a veritable chasm!
Don't do it!
