Has anybody had a UTI? I have never had one, but my wife swears thats what I have..... It hurt really bad just all the sudden yesterday evening while urinating and there was a little blood at the end. Throughout the night the urine was a little more pink, and a little this morning. I have gone several times today and its not really pink anymore, I dont notice it. It's still uncomfortable for sure, but not near as bad......UTI or something else??
I am waiting on a call back from my doctor, I just wondered what others experiences have been and if you all think thats what this is???

Hey B&G,
My personal guess is you passed a kidney stone. That is where the blood came from. A UTI seldom causes visible blood. Passing a stone. especially for males, is very painful. That pain should not return but some soreness will remain.
If you get better that is probably what it was. If you aren't better in a day or so see your doctor.

Burning pain? you've got the clap.. now who gave it to whom.. thats the real question here.. Ok.. Maybe you do have a UTI, I've had one that burns.. but never any blood. I guarantee your doc will test for the CLAP/STD... any discharge? dick sticking to your underwear in the morniong? It could still be a UTI.. UTI's are very much like the CLAP/Gohnerea .. just get it tested.. you'll be fine..
your getting antibiotics any way you look at it.. Of course if you may have gotten the CLAP away from home.. ;-) just tell her its a UTI no matter the results.. and for gods sake don't sleep with her or that story won't work.. she'll be in to see her Doc as well and then your screwed..

It sounds like a UTI. You need to have your urine tested at the doctor's and possibly cultured, and then you would need antibiotics. If your urine comes back clean, then you'd need to see a urologist -- blood in the urine, even for just a little while, isn't normal.

My guess because I have had UTI and Kidney Stones...it was one or the other....but if it was a kidney stone you would have had really bad back pain on one side and not been able to get comfortable for hours if not days...so if you did not experience that the chances are it is a UTI or STD....better hope for uti

Your symptoms apply to a number of urinary tract disorders, one of which is UTI. You can ask for opinions and get answers that range from UTI to cancer and this will never replace a physican's diagnosis and can cause unneccesary anxiety to you. Increase your water intake to 3 liters/day, avoid cranberry juice for now and wait to hear from your doctor. FYI: cranberry juice is helpful for prevention but it never cured a UTI.

I had a UTI, and I had the same symptoms you describe.
Cranberry juice helps, but to get rid of the UTI, you'll need anti-biotics. Atleast that is what cured me.

i have had them and yes that's what it sounds like to me. it's a good idea to call the doc. if left untreated, a simple bladder infection can turn into a kidney infection causing all sorts of problems, not to mention excruciating pain. you'll have to go in for a urine test, then be put on antibiotics for 10 days. after you finish all your medicine, you'll have to go in for another test to make sure the infection is cleared up. hope you get to feeling better.
