Maybe the girl who's boyfriend is getting the compliment is very possesive in a bad way. I don't feel that there is anything wrong with saying that someone's B/F is hott. When the complimnets get out of control then that's when you need to put your foot down and say something.

That is a question all guys ask! The answer is very simple girls are somewhat jealous...so when they hear that they know it's THEIR guy so why is this girl saying to MY face he is hott!!!Thats my answer...

I dont really understand your question but if you're saying that you told your friend that you think their boyfriend is hot, (just an example) She might be scared that "you" secretly like him. A lot of my friends think my boyfriend is hot but it really doesn't bother me that much because I know that he has no interest in them at all. Now... if some girl I only knew for a short while and knew my boyfriend before me told me that she thinks he's hot then that would bug me... that's just me though.

Well based on the one fact that women love their men and don't want any other women even thinking about their significant other, should be the basis enough to show that you need to just relax. Girls don't want guys to say to them "oh yeah that girl is fine!" right in front of them and vice versa.

Probably because some girls are jealous and territorial, and think of their men as possessions or indicators of their own self-worth and status & feel threatened by anyone else's appreciation of them because it represents a threat to the source of their feelings of self-esteem or womanhood.

i don't know. it used to make me feel good, b/c i knew i had someone that looked good. ;) but...i guess they're just afraid you're after their man or something. assure them you're not, and walk away. people like that are immature...in my opinion. when they join the real world, they will notice that if their boyfriend is attractive, women will tell her! i have 5 best friends that are like sisters to me, and every boyfriend i've had, they think is hot. that doesn't mean i'm going to say, "hey, he's mine!," b/c that's immature. i know they wouldn't try to take my boyfriend, and i usually laugh at them when they say it. it doesn't matter to me, and it doesn't make an impact on how i react towards them.
