i downloaded a keygen thing and when i tried to unzip it and get in to the folder and stuff, 2-3 mn later, a msg pops up telling me the computer is highly affected and will shut down in 60 seconds :(

when i try to turn it back on it leads to that black screen with white writting on it :(


i took it down to circuit city where i bought it from, they have to run a diagnotic on it but they havent called me yet sooo

HAS THAT HAPPEN TO ANY1 ELSE? is it a spyware or an adware or a virus??

This is a virus. Spyware just watches what you do and isn't intended to be found so it is never this obvious, it just monitors what you do. Adware is advertising, killing your machine is not its intention either.

It may just be a malicious program. Someone may have put it on a keygen site to annoy people trying to steal software.

(sorry but thats what a keygen program is for)

Your computer may be fine if the people at the store can remove it.

Boot to safe mode so no startup programs execute , and check if its in the windows startup folder , or has a registry entry to run at startup. If you find it , just delete it.

This shows how important it is to backup your files.

Sounds like a Virus to me.. But luckily it hasn't happened to me. And even if you have updated virus/firewall protection.. It may not have seen your problem as a threat and allowed it to go through.

well. . .wht ever it is you have probably damaged your computer and the only solution will be to reinstall the OS!

so bad, I understand hw difficult it is to have all you data in the drain with only a click! Next time use an anti virus./ / //
