i love McDonalds fries , or homemade !!

At a restaurant I used to work at, we'd blanch ours off ahead of time, and then fry them the rest of the way (The only true way to make good fries). We'd season them with fine herbs, a little parmigiano reggiano, coarse sea salt, and some freshly cracked black pepper. god, they were so damn good.

When McDonald's fries are cooked right and right out of the fryer they are SOOOOOOOO good. But if they are old they are kind of ick.
I really like Whataburger fries. They hold up well and they people at the fryer salt them well.
My husband makes awesome homeade fries. He uses the recipe for fries out of the Anthony Bourdain cookbook. It takes a while b/c you have to soak the potato in cool water for 1/2 hour minimum once they are in fry shape THEN you have to pre-fry them just a little in oil then let them rest again before finishing them off. But talk about delicious!

I like McDonald's fries, unfortunately they are very bad for you, even though they taste heavenly. My next choice is home made fries at least you know whats on them.

You can make your fries taste like McDonald's fries. Place your fries in 375 degree veg. oil for 3 min let stand until they cool and put fries in 375 degree veg. oil again until golden brown.

Either homemade or McCain's are good too. Wendy's has great fries as well.

I love McDonalds fries. My oldest daughter works there & we eat them alot more than we should. I think they should be in a museum someday. They are an american icon. :} Happy eating to all.
