No, a guy who is not into that stuff wouldnt change if you injected a romance novel into his neck. It would however give a guy who is naturally romantic some pretty good ideas though.
Ladies if you want a man to wine and dine you, look for men who like to wine and dine.

Reading them does not help your relationship. I used to read them all the time, a new one every day (since they are such easy reading) and I never thought real life worked out that way. All romance novels are the same: they hate each other, they then sleep with each other, and have some giant problem to overcome and then live happily ever after. So not like real life. Then I met my fiance. I am now living the romance novel, without the hating part. We haven't quite worked out happily ever after yet, but we're working on it.

relationship and romance is something that directly comes from heart. dont try to be too fictitious . be natural and that is something a girl really likes. you may read romance book for your pleasure and maybe by reading those kind of books you can naturally enhance your way of being romantic but dont try to copy what is there in those books. all the best for your relationship.

If you mean romance novels, then no. They are just for entertainment and are completely unrealistic.
However, if you mean nonfiction books that give you tips on how to have a healthier relationship, then yes, they can be helpful.

BAH HUMBAG!!!!
Sure, I wish life's romance was just like in the books and movies, but dang!!--- Take Jude Law for example,
In "Cold Mountain", he plays a Civil War soldier who sacrifices his life to be with the woman he loves
In "The Holiday", he plays a stay-at-home dad who bursts into tears at the thought of never seeing the woman he fell in love with again,
BUT , I ask you, LOOK AT JUDE LAW for a minute.
IN REAL LIFE, this dude cheated on his wife/fiancee, Sienna Miller, with the FREAKIN' NANNY!!
Go Figure-- not even the actors/actresses themselves can keep up real romance in their own lives.

honestly: they help. in how to react to certain situations, things to say, when to speak when not to ... what guys are thinking ... they really do help ... like i would solely seek out a romance novel for advice but they can be helpful. as far as men learning from them, you never know!

No, they're made up and they have a plot and conclusion, which means that unlike in real life - you know how everything will turn out and how to add up the events so they do turn out that way.

That`s what I thought when I was little, I thought everything was going to be perfect when I grow up and get a man. That has nothing to do with reality, forget it.

They're fiction and they won't help your relationship. If you want good sex tips read Cosmo Girl.
