Why? Well, I was listening to one on the news the other day, someone who won't ever be President, and I thought of how I *always* like what that senator has to say.

OK, here are the ground rules... first rule is the most important (hence the longest):

1) NO candidates for President, please
--- Here's your chance to show that you have depth and savvy and are not just a slave to the pol-as-celebrity media circus and the publicity machines.
--- Besides, it would be boring to read "McCain", "Clinton", and "Obama" over and over again.

2) Current senators only - Alan Simpson and George Mitchell might have been fun in their day, but we're in 2007.

3) Just list name, state, party, and the reason for your answer.

4) Just worry about your OWN answer - demerits for attacking someone else's favorite.

BEST ANSWERS will be those that make a POSITIVE statement - after all, you're saying who's YOUR favorite.

COREY - Calm down, it was a simple enough question. BTW, Brownback, too is running for Prez.

Everyone gets a thumbs up from me - everyone except Corey. Even the other McCain answer gets a thumbs up.

The point of the restriction, Corey, was to make sure that there was a true variety of answers. Fine if you like McCain - just don't assume anything next time.

Diane Feinstein D, CA takes a centerist stand on most issues unlike California's other Senator who is much more liberal. While she doesn't want to be President, I can't blame her, she serves her state well in the Senate.

it's very likely that during that year, she just forgot about it. so dont even worry about that. now, its possible that she brought up 'trying new stuff' recently becuz there's something she already has in mind, and wasnt really expecting the anal sex option to come up. so of course she's gonna dismiss it becuz she hasnt thought about it and thus wasnt prepared when it came up. but for someone who has apparently done it before, she does seem to be avoiding it. i very much doubt that its has anything to do with u tho. im willing to bet its one of three things: she did it and found it very uncomfortable/painful; she did it and felt dirty/gross/wrong afterwards; or she did it and suffered some embarrassing event (poo maybe? lol, i've heard it can happen). so just tell her how u feel about it. no need to bring up other guys or ur concerns that she doesnt love u, cuz i promise u thats not the reason. make sure u let her know that ur not asking becuz ur trying to push her into it, but that the whole thing confuses u and u'd just like to discuss it. good luck!!! :)

Whoes the best senator? Unquestionably John McCain... not because i see him on TV and w/e.. its because of his involvements in survery groups such as the Iraq Study Group, his own personal drafts of analysis, and his involvements in investigative reports...
Thats why he is the best senator in Congress.. he is not the best senator because he is a presidential candidate... he is a presidential candidate because he is the best senator. Your asking for my favorite senator, that's not my favorite senator.. so obviously my first reaction would be to find senators with similar policies as McCain.. so by saying "not presidential candidates" .. you're asking for people who are like your favorite senators... (mostly)

So if thats what you're looking for.. here are my favorite U.S. Senators :

- (IND) Joe Lieberman, Conneticut Senator

Reason: For the past decade, Joe Lieberman has worked closely with John McCain on many of his plans and intelligence research analysis reports. His head is certainly in the right place and he is an extremely intelligent man. He speaks wisdom and he is very open-minded.. he has often pleaded his old Democratic Party to be more supportive of the President's goals + plans.. but they continue to strike against unwittingly..

- (R) Sam Brownback, Kansas Senator

Reason: He understands the greater fight in the Middle East, not just the over simplified sectarian violence within Baghdad's borders... however i dont agree with his NAY vote for sending a troop surge to Iraq... i do agree with his YEA vote to expand the debate beyond just 2 plans.. Send 21,000 troops, or dont send 21,000 troops. He kinda reminds me of Donald Rumsfeld.. his minds in the right place.. but for sum reason hes extremely hesitant to send troops + funding to the cause...

did i prove to you that i know my Senators? =)
theres a lot more senators i DONT like then i do.. i could go on forever about those =)

regardless, hope that helps!
