My puppy stayed over the weekend at a friend's house, mine is 7 months, hers is about 9, she told me that they played a lot but the night she came back home she hardly got up, she didn't play, she is just a different dog, plus I think her rear hurts. She usually is playful in the morning, these last 2 mornings she gets up and then goes back to her bed. She is just a different dog, she is not playful, as she usually is, I don't know what is wrong with her.

Sudden change in personality can be a sign of something phyiscally wrong. Best to let your vet have a look if this continues for more than a day or two.

If she is painful, she is not going to be playful. After 24 hours, it's reasonable to call the vet. She may just need some pain medication for a few days to feel better. Perhaps she played a little too hard and got hurt. It's not unusual for puppies to get going a little too fast.

If it's been two days maybe it's time for a check up. She could have hurt herself when playing with the other puppy.

She could just be tired. I used to have a beagle and whenever she would go to my grandparents for the weekends and play with their labs she would come home and be exhausted for at least two days.
