How long can you have a untrested UTI before it starts causing problems?

I have had it for about a week or two and my medical insurance is coming on the 27th of march.

It varies by person to person, and also what bacteria is causing it. Some are fast and virulent growers, others not as fast. You can get sick enough to require hospitalization also. Can't go to regular MD and get checked? Usually they'll just check the urine in the office and write a script.
