Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows about facial skin that gets red in patches like especially down by jaw line and cheecks. I looked online at pics of rosacea and don't think I have that. Whenever I get hot/cold, exercise, wash my fash, etc. it flares up the patchy bright redness on my lower cheecks and takes quite awhile for it to calm back down to its normal light pinkish color. I haven't decided if putting on face lotion helps or worsens the condition. Is there any kind of cream, vitamins, minerals, make-up etc. anything that can help?? Thanks!

I have the same issue. when I was younger adults always thought I was having a heat stroke....
my dermatologist says its due to capillaries very near the surface of the skin, when ever they are aggravated (face washing, etc) they will get inflamed. (exercising does it too) There are lots of moisturizers with a 'calming' agent in them (i tried aveeno calming lotion) but it didnt seem to make a difference. so, for now I have to live with everyone thinking I'm embarrassed!
(rosacea is actually a fungus and you can see the capillaries above the surface of the skin--if you want to find out for sure, outside of going to a dermatologist, try a small amount of lamisil or lotrimin)
