my w2's were sent to my old address where my cousin lives, he's misplaced them and I care not to contact my old employer on account of bad history, is there any other way I can get them?

You need to contact your former employer, they can provide copys.

You have to get them from the employer. They're the only people who can give you a duplicate. If you try going to the IRS, they will send you back to the employer first; there's no way around that.
