Have her go before you leave, bring a change of clothes with you and if she has to go badly enough while out then she'll either go or wet herself, thus the change of clothes. It's a difficult time but you can't stop time. You need to go out sometimes and get things done. She'll be fine. Kids adapt pretty quickly when they need to.

Talk about the potty on the way to the store. Seriously. Tell her the store has a potty too (isn't that neat??) and ask her if she wants to use the potty with you at the store. Be pretty excited about it, but not so much that she's intimidated. You might want to put her in a diaper for the trip, she'll probably tell you when she needs to go. If she panics when she gets there, you can let her see you use the potty to show her it's a normal toilet. Pack a diaper bag just in case, kids do these things on their own schedule and there's not usually anything we can do to affect it.

Good luck!

Some kids are afraid of the automatic toilets, if you bring stickers with you then you can place them over the sensor so it won't flush while your child is sitting on it. Bring at least one change of clothes in case she does have an accident. You might be surprised that once she doesn't have any choice but to use a regular sized toilet that she will use it (and may make a huge habit of ALWAYS wanting to use the bathroom in each store to see all the different toilets).

i think this is a very common problem while potty training. Although i am also in the potty training stage mine is a boy but i refuse to allow him to sit on a public toilet without some kind of germ barrier. I allow my son to go to potty just prior to leaving the house and then i bring along the top of his potty. We have the type that comes apart. We have never had to use it and always have a change of cloths just in case but we stay very prepared. maybe having a "portable" potty will help you.

Put a Pull-Up on her and pack a couple extras until you can get her to use a toilet. If she wants bad enough to not be wet, she'll sit on a toilet whether it's in your house or a store.
