Does you family have a weird food-related tradition? Like, we've always eaten pb WITH our chili, fritos IN our chili, and chili ON our mac and cheese. And we always drink milk with pizza. What does your family do?

We do the pb/chili thing. It is doritos with out chili. Corn curls have ketchup as a dip.

And the weirdest thing I do....I have a problem with chicken. I prefer to eat legs. And I cannot tough the chicken. I have fold up a napkin, and put it around the leg to pick it up and eat it. I strongly believe that chicken grease will never wash off all the way....yeah I know I need counseling.

Not really yet, but we've only been married for eight months.

We do have names for food, though... we call salad "sarrrrrad" with a Japanese accent (I work for a Japanese company and we have lots of nationals here). We also call it "ensalada de lechuga", after a friend of my wife's wrote "ensalada de papa" (potato salad) on a menu at a party we attended the day we got engaged. Since I eat a fairly heart-healthy diet, we call Egg-Beaters "feggs" (fake eggs) and turkey bacon is "facon" (fake bacon). I even write them that way on shopping lists.

One thing we do that has become somewhat of a tradition... when we go camping we always have hot chocolate with grappa (Italian brandy made from the skins of the grapes... and no, I'm Irish).

Now, just me... I eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with tomato soup. Any time I make tomato soup, or bring it in for lunch, there's always a PB&J sandwich.

My husband & kid's put cheese & eggs into ramen noodles. I think it is weird but they dont. Now I put melted peanutbutter on my oatmeal & everyone thinks I am weird. I say if ya like it then eat it! Happy eating to all.

It sounds gross, but my family makes this Jello mold for Thanksgiving and XMas.

Basically, it is lime jello (liquid) blended with a bar of cream cheese. You add chopped black olives, pecans, and pineapple and pour into a mold and chill.

It's sooooo yummy!

We just call that Green Jello.

Well I make a salad with lettuce, tomato, tuna fish and cottage cheese with thousand island dressing on top. My husband thought I had lost my mind when I made it the first time, so did his brother, until they tasted it and realized how good it was!!

my family tradition is xmas eve we all get together (about 40 of us) and my aunts and grandma make meatpies and so we sit around open gifts and eat meatpie every year! Also my mom, sisters and I all put vinegar and butter on our cooked veggies, cabbagerolls and beef stew. it is weird but it tastes so darn good i can't stop!
