YES YES YES YES

And you should. The mistake that most people make is to close all their credit so that by the time their BK falls off their credit report they have NO credit which is just as bad as having bad credit.

Keep what you can afford and keep the payments on time. This will help you get back on your feet more quickly.

You can reaffirm your lease. Most credit card companies will cancel you. But ironically, many credit card offers will come your way after you are discharged. You may decide you are better off without them and just using a debit card. At least that's the advice I give my clients

Although it differs from state to state you can probably keep the lease as it is not an asset. Credit cards can usually be kept if you do not list them on the debts. Problem with this is that they will not be discharged. Best bet (in my opinion ) is to have at least one card with zero balance and keep it. This would not have to be listed as it is not an asset.

If you have many credit cards, and only reaffirm with one, the other creditors will pitch a fit, and the trustee may require you to include all unsecured creditors.

BTW.. you are permitted to keep one car, as long as it is not a luxury vehicle.

No credit cards but the lease is negotiable.

My suggestion would be to consult (not necessarily hire) with a Bankruptcy Attorney for advice.
