I live 2 and a half hours away from my boyfriend, and only get to see him on weekends (sometimes). School and work pretty much take up my life, but we're going on 9 months and I think our relationship is pretty great. I love him more than life, and because of this I totally believe in long distance relationships. My friend's boyfriend lives in Alaska (we live in Minnesota) and they're going on like 7 or 8 months and are completely happy also, even though they hardly ever get to see each other but they talk on the phone and email and whatnot and she's going to see him over spring break...and yeah, long distance relationships are tough but I think they're definately possible. :)

Ask this question again when you see him in July cause chances are that you may not feel the same way about him as you do now.
I was in a long distance relationship and it didn't work out, but I know a few cases where the two parties made it work and got married.

Thats pretty far away..I say if you have a plan of being together in the near future (2 yrs or less) It could possibly work. I dated a guy all through college, after he graduated..I had a year left..our relationship with nothing less than perfect and I planned on moving out there 9 months later when I graduated. Needless to say as I was waiting patiently 13 hours away to be with him.. he was seeing other girls! I think it depends on how old you are and where you are in your life. If your still in college or younger..Id say leave it.. plently more fish in the sea and if hes meant to be, he will be back

Long distance relationships usually don't last. It's hard not to lose interest when a person is so far away.I think that with him, being in the Navy is even harder. They're always out at sea, heading to another port.Good Luck.

I think it depends on what type of person you are. I think if you are a needy jealous person, it can't work because you would drive yourself crazy with worry as to whether he is cheating and he might feel the same way. I would try to make it work, get a web cam to see eachother while your talking.. it's like the saying out of site out of mind!

Long distance relationships really don't work unless you actually see each other within moderate amounts of time. Or unless you're married because then you kind of have to make it work.

It can if you are both committed, but think about where you would want to live if you get married. My wife married me and moved to my town, but she was not happy there and I had to move to where her family was.

Not unless you want your heart broken. Relationships require physical contact.
