This man and I have been friends for a while and he's hinted around about asking me out but hasn't done it. I have given him all the clues that I am interested but he is kind of shy and reserved about such things. We ahng out all the time as friends. So, do I ask him out on a date, do I just be patient and wait, do I try dating someone else, or do I just talk to him about it. It's a hard situation because his friendship means so much to me, I don't want to mess that up. Any advice?

Well u have to ask urself which one do u want more, his friendship or he's love. Sounds like you want to be with him, and if all the clues are they then go for it. Tell him ur going to the movies to see something and ask him if he wants to come.

start trying to date another guy. You will be able to tell from his reaction if he is interested. Tell him you want a romanitc relationship, hopefully he'll step it up and start courting you
