My son is 5. He's been potty trained for over two years now, but nothing I do can get him to stay dry at night. We've tried rewards for staying dry, cutting back on his liquids at night, still no success. I know they say a child's bladder isn't big enough to stay dry during the night until they're five, so what gives? What can I do, any advise is welcome ( they're running out of pull up sizes to fit him)

Do you try getting him up a couple times a night and taking him to the bathroom. I do that with my daughter and she has gone four nights straight now without wetting the bed even a night or two i forgot to get her up she did good it was just the act of teaching her body not to let go while she sleeps. I hope this helps

Get him up in the middle of the night and put him on the toilet. Purchase a plastic mattress pad. And although they say that a child's bladder isn't big enough until age five it doesn't mean that when they turn five their bladder magically becomes bigger. his may not be able to hold water all night for a couple of years. Kids develop mentally and physically at different rates.

Your best bet would be to get him up in the middle of the night to go. My daughter hasn't had a night time accident since she was 2 and she's now 4. After a week or so of waking her to go potty, she started waking up herself to go.
Good luck with it, I know how frustrating potty training can be.

Try taking your child to a urologist. I had to take my 3yr old. He has been potty trained for a year and he still wets the bed. They put him on ditropan and that worked wounderfully. They said if that didnt work, there could be a valve that is blocked or his bladder could be to small.
