call you local animal shelter and ask them. also ask if they have a specail month in the area where vets do it at discount, or if the have the van that comes around to do it. local vets volenteer to run the vans to a special location to offer spay and neutering to low income areas.

I know there is a Mobile ASPCA spay and nueter clinic in New York. I dont know if they go outside of the state or have a program. Call some local shelters and some rescues. Even calling vets can help you get intouch with low cost spay and nueter programs. Some shelters give out gift certificates for reduced cost spay and nueters.

Contact your local Humane Society. If they have the funding, they have programs to offer low cost or free neutering.
I applaud you for having this done!!! And even if you can't get it at a reduced rate, neutering is not that expensive...less than $100 usually. It's well worth the cost anyway!!

Check with your local ASPCA. Ocassionally they have reduced spay/neuter. (they do here in FL anyway). If not, see if you have an APL (Animal Protection League) in your area. They are a will pay the vet directly, and you pay them back at a set amount per week or month. Paying it back a little at a time is better than not getting it done at all.

To add to what others have suggested: If you live in a large enough city.... Call several Humane Societies or shelters and price them. Some charge signficantly less then others. Where I live there are 2 shelters nearby me and several more a short distance away. 15 more minutes of driving time may yield you a signficant savings.

If there is an animal Humane Society there they usually have low cost spay and neuter clinics. Call them to see if they offer this service.

Do a search of "Friends of Animals" you can go to their site and download a coupon and find a vet near you that accepts this coupon. In CT. it is $64.00, the vet may charge an additional amount, but is far less than the usual cost. Good luck.
