If this your first time filing with the IRS doesn't it take longer for the money to return?

No, being a first-time filer will have no effect whatsoever on the time it takes to get your refund if you have one coming.

Absolutely not. Just ask for a direct deposit to your account electronically and you will have your refund within two weeks.
