I met someone online (dating site) and exchanged some emails back and forth. We seem to click, but after a few emails he sent me his pic and I just don't see it happening. He isn't in very good shape, and not physically attractive to me. How do I tell him without seeming shallow or hurting his feelings?

It's not shallow to be not attracted to someone - let's face it, a love relationship takes more than a realization that the other is a really nice person, there has to be a certain amount of physical attraction as well.
And you can't not hurt his feelings; it's inevitable. He will be disappointed when you turn him down. But you can be as polite and tactful about it as possible. Just tell him, "I don't feel any chemistry between us, I don't think we're a compatible match." Don't offer any "reasons" why - the fact that you're not feeling it is reason enough. And don't drag him on by offering to be "friends" - it's the same as pity and will give him false hope. Just let him know you're not interested, wish him well, and cut communication.

People always talk about being polite-thinking being polite means to be fake. There is no polite way to break up, cause it is a break-up! Just end it in a email-tell him he's not for you and you are not for him. Tell him he'll get over you. Wish him the best-move on. Also-block his email address.

Tell him you're into wiccan or something weird and maybe he'll end it.
This is exactly why you should only reply to the people with photos, so you can get past the physical aspect first!

Why worry, be a bigger person and let him find a true connection.Or you could just delete him from your email.They can't come thru the computer and make you like them, be strong---Cut him off.Then chat with others....
