I have found a great site that has free video tutorials for photoshop. They e-mail you when a new one is available and you can download them or view them from the web. Adobe also has tons of tutorials on their site as well.
Good luck

Yes there are: they are (several of them) mentioned on the Adobe website...just go into their Photoshop sales area. (Phew! We just bought Photoshop too and it looks like it's going to be a real booger to learn! Lots of luck to you and us! And NOT for free but I must mention a good book The Photoshop CS2 Book For Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby, as it is very *reader* friendly!)

Adobe's own website has a wealth of information about their products: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/?sort=topic&product=15&topic=0&type=all&level=all&x=8&y=6

I would just use the tutorials that are built into photoshop itself.

I've bought some books on ebay that were awesome. You get what you pay for, if you want free it's not going to be that good.

You can try iTunes... It has a (I don't know the proper term) Photoshop video podcast, you can learn some great stuff there.
