Well, if telling her would end the relationship and you don't tell her then your marriage will be based on a lie. That could be disastrous.

If you tell her and she ends it, then it's cheaper than a divorce if she found out later. And the total stress for you will be much less than living your life in fear of her finding out.

If you tell her and she doesn't end it, your marriage will be based on true knowlege of each other. This is what marriage should be based on.

You know you screwed up. Put it right and face the consequences.

From my own experience with this same exact scenario, I say keep it to yourself!! My (now) husband and I had this same situation when we first started dating. He blew me off one night when we had made plans and told me he was "sick". The guilt ate at him, and when we were more serious, he finally confessed that he was really out with another girl that night. What was worse, it was a really slutty girl that I worked with who I couldn't stand. Well, it messed us up really bad. I had an extremely hard time getting over it and we ended up breaking up for a while because of it. Fortunately, we worked through it over the years and are now married. But the moral of the story is, sometimes it's just better left unsaid. Push it out of your mind and move on. It won't help your relationship in any way. I wish my man would have never told me...

This really depends on what the lie was. How important is it that she know the truth, and easy would it be for her to find out? I say tell her. Explain to her how much you love her, how much you regret starting of your relationship with a lie, but that you want to start your marraige with a clean slate. Tell her that you haven't meant to keep it from her, that you just haven't found a good way to tell her, and ask for her forgiveness. Hopefully she'll appreciate your honesty!

I guess that would really depend on what the lie is. If it doesn't affect her then she doesn't need to know but if it does you have to tell her before she finds out herself. Since you told her before you became so serious she should be more understanding and if she ends the relationship that easily then she isn't worth being with.

A silly lie has sure made you miserable! Tell her the truth, she will be mad for awhile, but at least you can live with yourself, and if you want a honest relationship with her, don't let a lie ruin it for you. If she is worth your love, she will forgive you, but don't do it anymore, see where that lie got you? Not worth the agony.

You're in trouble. You shouldn't have lied. Women can smell a liar from 50 miles away. She will eventually find out, so just spill the beans now.

I think we need to know what the silly lie is. maybe it wasn't so silly if you're worried about telling her.
