As a pharmacist I can calculate your ideal weight to be something in between 140 - 150 lbs. which is considered normal, there is a mathematical method to do it , maybe you can find it if you search the Health Information Center website : http://google.com/coop/cse?cx=007185308018807068018%3Ax2z07lqx3mg
it is a health specialized search site where you get information from top health organizations.

You should ask your doctor, because it depends on several factors, such as:

Your body type,
your muscle-to-fat ratio (muscle weighs more - you can be 150 and look underfed),
the amount of activity you get each day,
and genetics.

Only your doctor can tell you what your goal weight should be - and anyway, you should be focused on your body fat % instead of sheer pounds. 170 lbs. of muscle is much healthier and leaner than 170 lbs. of fat.

"Are you happy?"
