I have bought jewelry from e-bay. Check out the seller first though.

Absolutely not a smart move! There was actually a special on 20/20 I believe that gave examples of instances where people got scammed on buying jewelry on Ebay. They may say it's in perfect condition and appraised at $X, but you won't know what you bought until you actually receive it. Buying something like wedding bands on Ebay makes me very nervous because if you don't like it, you might be stuck with it. Go to an independent jeweler!

We have had excellent luck purchasing jewelry on Ebay. I think that you can get a particularly good deal on engagement and wedding rings because there are many legitimate reasons that people would be getting rid of them: broken engagements, divorces, and moving up to a set with a bigger diamond. Just be sure that the person who is selling it has a lot of positive feedback. Good luck.

i bought my jewelery on eBay, it is solid silver and is rose shaped, the person selling it had it for an unwanted Christmas gift, and didn't think it was real silver. i had my friend look at it who is a jeweler and it is actually worth about £105, i paid £4.89 including postage...
if the picture isn't very good, email the seller and ask for more pictures, they will be happy to do this if it is going to help with the sale of their item.
if you are planning on buying the rings, i would be sure of the size you need and find out if the seller would take the item back if there was a problem.

Well, i wouldn't purchase it from an individual from eBay, but a business that has great reviews, yes. Also think about overstock.com. I got my wedding ring and my husband's wedding ring on overstock. Mine from Nieman's and his from Iverson Jewelry. Iversons has good rings, titanium and such for good prices.

I would not buy your wedding rings off of ebay but if you had to get stuff for your flower girl or bridesmaids i would! That is what i did for my wedding and all the girls loved them!

I found a guy in Vegas that was selling on Ebay. I contacted him and visited his store and he had high quality diamonds for very fair prices. I bought my wife a nice princess cut center stone with 2 emerald cut diamonds on the sides and also had him make a band with 7 small princess stones. I also took my brother and my friend there & they bought rings for their wives. Email me at pohara@oharaandassociates.com and I'll give you his name, number and address in Vegas.

I woudn't recomend it. I bought a ring from a business which had a lot of ratings which turned out to be fake and I am still fighiting for my refund. If you must purchase, beware of a deal that seems too good to be true!
