I love watching freight trains while I'm stopped in my car and everyone is single file in their vehicles waiting for that long winded set of super heavy freight trains to end, so why? So people can get home from work to feed their dogs and cats and wives, but me? I love watching how those freight trains rumble and move down those steel rails, it is such a sight indeed. I don't care how long it takes till I see the final train going to its destination. And, when I get home late and my silly wife asks me why I'm late, I tell her because I was train watching not bird watching. And yes, I collect trains, but they're so giant that I cannot put them in my loving living room on the coffee table, so I have to go out to some giant junk yard to take the big heavy freight trains I collect. Wow.

I collect model trains and also like watching the steam trains on heritage railways.
Sometimes a steam train operator will be allowed to run an excursion on the main network and I like watching those too.

Sometimes I watch trains go by on the tracks nearby. Usually freight trains, a couple times, Amtrak I prefer the whistle on the Amtrak compared to the freight. My dad used to do model trains in his house. What about you?

i live right next to a railroad. It is the best sound, expecially when the gates come down they make tht mechanical sound. =)

I watch them when they block my way, , but don't have the room to keep them (or any way to get them home)
