I just need to know if there is anyone out there who can help me pay my electric bill for my children?

Contact the following, all may be able to help:
1) State public utilities board.
2) The electric company themselves
3) Catholic Charities in your area.

You sound desperate therefore you need to go to your Welfare office in your state and tell them you need help. In some states the Electric company will help with unpaid bills. Call your electric company and ask if they will take payments until you can get caught up.
If none of this works call your local TV or radio station and tell them your problem. They love "human interest" stories. You may bring a lot of attention to a problem not only you but several thousand people in your state are facing too.

Well im not trying to be mean but im a single mother of two kids! the begining of the winter i had to turn off cable and interenet cause i couldnt afford to pay the electricity bill and the cable bill! That is if you have it at home! Otherwise call churchs, salvation army, possibly red cross, if you have a count relief office!

ignore the ignorant statements made by some here. you sound like a single mom, and i strongly suspect a deadbeat parent not sending support to you... so i will post some helpful links and info.

1) contact your local churches. find the one that has the food bank and go to it weekly. this will help free up funds. some will also help with electric bills.
2) contact your states board of public utilities (or what ever its called in your state). they have programs for gas, heat, electric, water and sometimes phone. ask what they have that can help.
ask about a home heating assistance program.
3) the red cross sometimes offers cars free or next to nothing. they get donations, and pass 'em on. call your local red cross and state red cross and ask.
4) salvation army helps with everything and anything. call and ask them where to go or if they can help.

call your local red cross and tell them your problem and they will give you a list of numbers to call for help. and then the food stamp office they have a list of churchs willing to help and groups.
