At a steady 56mph, about 9 miles!

A liter is basically another unit of measure, and the convesion between a gallon and a liter is : 1 gal = 3.785 liters. Hence, a car traveling 25 miles a gallon will travel 6.6 miles (or 10.56 km) in a liter of petrol (or gas!).
