Give her what formula she will take. But, you may end up having to take her in to the hospital if she won't take the pedilyte. They may have to put IV's in her to build her fluid levels back up. They had to do that with one of my boys, it sounds scarier than it is. Listen to your Dr. Good luck.

My kids won't touch pedilyte either, and after I tasted it, I understand why. It tastes nasty. You have to give her what she will take if that is formula, then give her formula. You're going to have to take her to the doctor if she is dehydrated and they may need to give her IV fluids. You can't force her to drink something she doesn't like. I would probably try some watered down Gatorade or sprite or ginger ale.

If she is dehydrated you will need to take her to the hospital for an IV. But call your child's doctor first to make sure he doesn't want to see her. The doctor will confirm the signs of dehydration for you. (dry mouth, dry skin, nausea)
My 4 year old had the flu two weeks ago and got dehydrated. His skin was dryer than normal, the inside of his mouth was getting sticky instead of wet, very thirsty and he could not keep anything down(not water, pedialyte or even flat sprite). This was on Saturday, day 7, I called his doctor and the doctor told me that my son needed to be seen in urgent care before Monday morning. I took him to urgent care where I was told that he was mildly dehydrated and that was why he still had nausea so he couldn't keep anything down. A simple IV was all he needed. As the IV fluid went in, the color returned to his face, his energy level went up tremendously and best of all he stopped throwing up.

Will she take coca cola? Not the diet stuff?
This was told to me by a paediatrician. It must be flat. Try giving it to her by the teaspoonful.
If she won't take it, and she is showing signs of dehydration (the formula should be helping her) then take her to casualty.

Get some fruit-juice Popsicles for now, but you definitely need to get her to her doctor as soon as possible. She sounds very sick, and if your doctor isn't giving you any helpful information, please seek a second opinion from another doctor as soon as possible. A week of diarrhea is too long, and you really can't let her go any longer without taking some liquids.

Try the Brat Diet. Try something different like tea, jello, popsicles, 7-up, or fruit juices like apple juice (no citrus). Then try like apple sauce, bananas, dry sweet cereal with no milk. Gradually add more foods but don't rush back into her regular diet too quickly. I hope that this helps.

i would call your pediatrician right now. a good way to check to see if your daughter is dehydrated is to have her sit up and then run the palm of your hand over the top of her head GENTLY. right where her little soft spot is if it is indented that is an indication of dehydration! it is important for you to seek medical attention for this considering her age!!!!!
just remembered.....two other signs of dehyration are, no tears and no salivia or drooling!!

Have you tried unsweetened apple juice or Gatorade? The different flavors might be more appealing to her right now.

Keep giving her formula, if it's all she'll take. I would get her to the hospital... she may need to be re-hydrated with an IV drip.
