It actually takes better credit to lease a car than it does to buy one. So even though you may be able to make the payments, without having prior car loan credit, you will not qualify for lease credit. In fact you are not old enough to sign a lease or a loan contract at all!
Sorry, but you're going to have to depend on your parents support & decisions for a while longer.

Save your money and buy a older car. Leasing a auto is a real bad idea. It is real cheap up front, but at the end is where the dealers get you with many fees. Like over mileage and damage to vehicle.

Mileage is pretty bad. If you now have a job down the street, you shouldn't worry too much. But when you get a "career" job, that is when it will start to hurt you.

The "damage" fee is the worst. If you are in an accident, it HAS to be fixed. No matter who was at fault. And the dealer still may charge you if it is not up to their standard.

Most lease agreements have a minimum age requirement before leasing is permitted.

You are most likely too young to lease without having a co-signer. Additionally, most state laws recognize that to enter into a legal contract, the signer must be of an age recognized by the state as being able to enter into said type agreements.

Save your money and purchase an inexpensive car until you are able to legally enter into contracts with a steady source of income!

Best wishes!

You will need your parents to lease it for you. Actually its probably a bad idea for a 16 yr old to get a new car-look around for a 2-3,000 car to drive for a couple of years. It's probably not going to be as cool as a new G6, but it's a smarter move.
