The Bible is the proof.
The Bible contains eyewitness testimony. Even when Paul wrote to skeptics in his day, he told them of 500 witnesses who could affirm the resurrection, for example. (I Corinthians 15:6)
Simon Greenleaf was a founder of the Harvard Law School, and wanted to prove that the accounts of the resurrection of Jesus Christ were false. After much research, he determined that the evidence contained in the New Testament accounts could stand scrutiny in a court of law.
For Armund above, I came to Christ as an adult. I was raised atheist.

People who claim that the bible has all the proof should consider that the bible is full of errors and contradictions.
Take the great flood for instance. There is no evidence to support a world wide flood. In fact, the evidence in the rocks shows that there has never been a world wide flood. However, the bible says that all the flesh on the planet was wiped out by this flood except for those in the ark.
Some parts of the bible are accurate. Some are fabrication. It is not a divine book. It is written by men and has been edited by men.
To A. Qurius Muse.
Have you ever taken a geology class? If you do, you will learn about plate tectonics. That creates those ridges in the ocean you are talking about. Find me a single geologist that backs up you claim. In fact, you will have a hard time finding a geologist that believes that there was a world wide flood. You will have a hard time finding a scientist who believes there was a world wide flood.
However, that is not the only goofball thing about the flood story. The biggest is how did the animals and people get distributed around the world? The bible says that the purpose of the flood was to destory all the flesh of the world.
Genesis 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Genesis 6:17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
So, according to the bible, the world was wiped out except for the living creatures aboard the ark. Ok, so how did we get people living all around the world? South America, North America, Asia, Australia, Pacific Islands, Carribean Islands. People living there. How did they get there? All the flesh was wiped out according to the bible, you can't refute that. You may say that they were descendents of those on the ark. However, how did the different races come about? Also, why did these people go all over the world? Also, why did they forget their religion? Also, why would they need to make up hundreds of new languages? Also, why did they forget their language? Also, why did they forget their history? Also, why did they forget where they came from?
That is just one more detail of the Noah's Ark story that does not make sense. There are so many others. When the bible gets edited again, I bet that this story will not make the cut or at least it will be changed to possibly make more sense.

The Bible is a record of history of actual people who lived that has been proven to be true by archeologists.
Living eyewitnesses to God's power recorded it as they saw it.
You cannot discount the validity of history simply because you weren't there to witness it; just as you wouldn't readily discount history that you see written in books.
The Bible is a library of history recorded over a period of 15 centuries.
Addressing A. Mercer's assertion that there is no evidence of the flood:
Take a look at the map of the ocean floor and notice the continental ridges that riddle the earth like the seams of a baseball. Those ridges are where the fountains of the great deep were broken up when God flooded the earth from beneath - its pressure being so great that it split a single continent in half and shaped the earth as you see it today.

How can some people make assertions about Columbus discovering America WITHOUT PROOF? Or the existence of Cleopatra? That is, without proof other than the historical facts recorded by people of the time. That's how we know certain aspects of the life and works of Jesus as well. One difference though - we don't have any first person eye witness accounts of Columbus or Cleopatra. We do have such accounts about Jesus.

you may have a point.
I have always believed the miracles in the bible are exactly as they seem because of my faith.
but there are certain things that happened that others have denounced as different types of experiences.
Casting out the seven devils from the one woman
Calling Lazarus from the grave, even though is body stank
Jesus dying and having his heart or lung punctured with a roman spear.
at face value these things seem Cut and Dried in the wool miracles.
but others have proclaimed that devils have a substitute definition and Lazarus was just part of a ritual the symbolized the death in hell and being raised. Some even say a SPELL LIKE feigning DEATH was used.
I dont know how anyone can deny the testimony of centurian who described the blood spraying out of a punctured lung and get it wrong that Jesus was truly dead. but the alternate theory that jesus didnt die still exists.

It's called faith which is the same thing as make-believe but you tend to do it with a group of others and go into deep religious role play immersion where you all reinforce in each other the idea that the make-believe is real...that's when it gets out of hand and people lose the plot entirely. They try to take over whole countries and try to enforce the role play make-believe on everybody through legislation.

Because they believe the bible is proof.
It's ridiculous of course, that's like saying the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster is proof that it exists, or that all the writings about the Greek gods (which are actually more numerous, consistent and corroborative than the bible) prove that they exist.
