Nobody's perfect. Some people make it seem like christians cant make mistakes. I just dont get why some people dont see that?

it's not that they cant be wrong it's that they impose thier beliefs on the rest of the world whats wrong with gay marriage? it doesnt harm you or me or anybody but it's really really against your beliefs and if you say that it's not then dear your not christan your some other cult form of the relegion as it's condemmed in the bible and what about abortion of a 14yrs rape baby in the first weeks? whats wrong with that? it's still nothing more than a lump of tissue theres no brain and no brain=no thought and no thought=no conciness and no conciness=no life so what the deal you believe that it's still a life that a soul resides in that lump of tissuse what we believe (in science) is that it's not yet for some reason people are boming the clinics and hurling rocks and insults at the women who do this sort of thing why? which brings me to the next topic hypocrtites love thy neighbor except if he's gay or a woman who had an abortion do you really think christ would have turned these people away or would he have brought them closer and tried to help them through love instead of hate?
i'm sorry but most of these things your group displays on the daily basis and are just realy i dunno bad people ( in a sence)
i do however beleive that you are not all like that, that there are some good ones out there but really most are not they get so cuaght up in thier church and thier beliefs that they look down upon those who do not walk with them which i say again is against everything the man stood for it's a really twisted perversion of what used to be a good man it's just a shame as it is with any group that the crazy ones and the jerks stand out from teh crowd and often are the crowd this is why we do not like your group
1.imposing beliefs on us through the laws they lobby for
2.being hypocritcal in thier faith
3.not being tolerant of others

Because the fundamental concept of all religions is that you can''t question it's truthfulness. The more you "just believe", the better. The more you refute and destroy anything that prevents you from believing, the better.
Once you have a group of people who have grown the "just believe" muscle in their brain to Arnold Schwartzenegger level of strength, you can get them to believe and do anything, including kill people. Or start wars. Or vote for a second term for George Bush, for example.
You might think that only the extremists are bad, but if you do, you haven't read the bible closely. According to the most literal direct interpretation of the bible, the extremists are "right". The bible does show people being spiritually rewarded for killing non-christians.
The people who are "peaceful" christians are only paving the way for the non-peaceful christians. And by the way, everything I said applies to muslims too, all the "just believe" religions are equally bad.

Well that is because many have done evil believing to be doing it in the name of God, taking the Bible out of context and committing horrible acts, The Salem Witch trials for one, The Crusades for another, however the crusades were not started by Christians, the Muslim leader Saladin started that, but during the conflict atrocities were committed by Christians, (ans some by the Muslims)
Christians are not perfect, just sin less and are conscience of the sin and repent of and fight the sin, David is a good example.

Well in the United State a political movement has risen up who are very simalar to the Nazis that rose in Germany. They have veiws that are very similar to the facsist fundmentalist that have taken ove Iran and Saudi Arabia. They call themselves the Christian Right. They have turned Jesus into a War God. They have manipulated the teaching of a Relgion that once spoke for the poor and have twisted it into a means to get wealthy. It is frankly a pervesion of Christianity based on fear and a fundmemtalist reading of the bible that ignores all logic and reason. Unfortunatly the rise is based and has been the response to an equaly insane perverted Godless culture That other Rich and selfish people have embraced.
It is a Warrior cult and it is very dangerous.

People will always think Christians are evil because of things so called Christians have done in the past. They don't see us as we are, Children of the Living God.
We just need to pray for them and rejoice because the world hated Jesus first, and being persecuted is being like Jesus.

If those people could have met My dear Christian Mother and father or my Christian grandparents they would have a respect and probably a love for them.and could actually see the spirit of God in their life's.But their or a lot of so called Christians in this world who do not show love and have faith.& especcially dont judge others.I NEVER in my life EVER heard ONE word from my people against anyone,if they were concerned about someone they paryed for them .Many have the religion.but don't have the spirit of God in their life's.all that call on the name of the Lord will NOT be saved said Jesus,ONLY those that do my fathers will ,will make it to heaven.he said,you HAVE to ask the spirit of God into you and ask of it and listen for the answers and then try your best to DO the will of God THEN you may go to heaven.Then your a true child of god, we must have total undoubting faith.But at the same time.No .no one is perfect.

I suppose because some people who claim to be Christian ARE evil. Hiding behind a religion does not make you a good person...but living a Christ-like life will. And this question could be posed about any person of any religion.

Because there ARE some people who call themselves christians and do opposite of what God wants (and God does speak of that kind of people). They make the good christians look bad.
But dont worry, at the end God will separate the good from the bad and each will have what they deserve.

I'll probably get enough thumbs-down on this answer to make Y!A record books, but some people don't want to hear the truth. They hate Jesus Christ, they don't want to be reminded of their sins, and they hate Christians who tell them that they need Jesus as their Savior.
So any time that a Christian does anything wrong, they use that as justification for their own rebellion against God. "See how terrible those Christians really are. . .look at what that Christian did."
They use that excuse to avoid their own culpability before God.

Ever had those fools drive miles to come to your house for five seconds of, "Hello good sir, would you like to hear the message of Salvation?" Thats crazy to me.
to be honest its more because of the 10% of Christians puritan idiots who argue with the 10% atheists idiots back and forth.
Only have one thing against Christianity as a religion. as soon as I say I'm an Agnostic is the way they instantly try to convert me, the way most of them try to do it is condescending.
But then i've only considered two people as "real" Christians. which was my first Pastor, Shultz, and then my friend's youth-group leader Les.
