Thanks, guys for all your helpful answers! I may do a pinata and maybe a backyard barbeque or something.....Oh yeah and Dora seems real popular so I think that will be her theme....Thanks so much, it's a little hard to pick a best answer because I like all the ideas!

The kid is 2 years old, what the heck do you need to do? It's not likely she's going to remember it or that she'll pout if you don't make it special .

Can you through her a birthday party? Make it a theme like a fiesta or does she like Barbie? Have a barbie party! There are so many ideas you can do for her. Do they have a rain forest cafe out there? Those are suppose to be a lot of fun. Have a circus party and have face painting and dress up as a clown. You don't have to take her somewhere to have a good time. You can make it just as fun for her. You can decorate the whole house and make a cake, have a pinata! Oh the ideas could go on forever! Good luck and Happy Bday to your daughter!!

You know I saw our zoo hosts birthday parties... I would research parks, zoos and aquariums.
If you think it's too much... I would just do it at a neighborhood park. You want to throw the big ones when they can really appreciate it ;)
Park, with bbq.. get a family member in charge of grilling the food. Cake like Dora... Pinata FOR SURE, Bounce houses aren't expensive..., get one of those clowns that brings all the games and prizes to the party.
My nephews 2nd birthday was really cute they did the above with the theme of Elmo... Instead of gift bags, there were boxes with everything from crayons, coloring book, candy and little toys.
My sons birthday is in the summer so we are just going to do a pool party.

My daughter Colson is turning 2 tomorrow - we are throwing her a Disney Princess party on Saturday. I asked all the guests to come in their favorite princess like dresses - they will be annouced upon arrival (THE ROYAL HIGNESS PRINCESS MEGAN HAS ARRIVED) get the royal makeup treatment (modest makeup suitable for 2 year olds - light pink shadow - lip gloss and some glitter - thats it) - then they go to the activity table and make their own little tiaras (found foam cutouts at a local craft store with glittler pens and stickers - CUTE) - once they have officially become princesses - they can play in the castle (a $20 buy from Target) and then we'll do cake and ice-cream!!

For breakfast make Pancakes, with strawberry's, and whip creme. Give here whatever she wants that day. Take her to the park with her friends and play soccer, or baseball, football. Goto a show. Any fairs in the area? Actually today is the day that you realize that BIRTHDAYS are overrated anyway. It's a day just like any other and there are thousands of people having their birthday today TOO.
Do you think that makes them all somehow... Connected?
Up to you sporto
Good luck

Do something like a little party at your house or at the park. At two years old they may not remember a whole lot. Try taking her to the zoo or you know how on tv they are always advertising like Disney on Ice or some cartoon from the Disney Channel having a concert live. I hope that helps.

Get a hold of family and friends and hold a birthday party for her. It does not have to be anything spectacular. Babies at this age love the wrapping paper more then the present at times so get pretty paper with lots of color. Be careful with balloons though as they can be a hazard if popped as they can cause choking. Other then that remember to take lots of pictures for the baby book.

Do you have a park near you? I have one that has a train and if you buy tickets you can ride on the train it's pretty cool and the kids seem to love it. There's always the option of a jumper two, it's pretty fun for the kids two. I've held princess parties before and they seem to like that two. Hey, maybe you can combine all three!

You can have all of her friends and your friends who have little ones over you house, or mabye in a park/beach area. You can have pizza for the little ones and mabye heroes for the adults. Instead of just having a party theme that only the kids will enjoy, make it nice for the adults also.
