ford will fit a dodge but dodge wont fit a ford, don't know why

5 x 4.5 inch bolt patterns are the same but not all dodges and fords interchange it was more of a 60 thru 80's cars.

You didn't say what year vehicles you were referring to. I'm not sure about late models but, back in the 60's and 70's they were interchangable.

Not even close. You might be able to line up one or two holes but the rest will not be even close to lining up! Been there and tried that-lost badly!

yes, from way back in the 50's watch the center holes though
