OK, so I just bought Dove "Precision Volume" spray that is specifically made to lift & hold roots. On the directions, all it says is to hold can 6 inches from your face, and spray on your roots. I've tried that, & I'll try pushing up my roots, but they won't stay.

How can I make it work?

oh yeah & i don't want volume ALL over my hair, just at the roots, & my hair is very thin, & i have already tried using a "round brush"

Flip you head over and spray the roots from the underside... you could also try flipping your head over while blowdrying it to give it extra lift.

this is what I do... flip your head. Do the spray thing... I also add one of those big banana clips clipping the front for a few minutes while I finish getting ready, take it off when I am walking out the door and voila more volume on the top.
