People recon Mama Cass died from chocking on one, but that's not true, her arteries were all clogged up. I suppose you could die from chocking or if the meat gave you food poisoning.

It was rumoured that Mama Cass from the band the Mamas and the Papas died from a ham sandwich. This isn't true she had been overweight for many years and died due to complications of this Heart attack. It was on an interview with her daughter one time how much this rumour had hurt the family because it was so insulting. I don't know of anyone dieing from a ham sandwich the only ways I can see it possible is chocking, possible food poisoning but not very likely. It is possible that if the ham isn't cooked properly a worm that CAN (not always) be in the ham can get into your blood stream and travel to the brain and eat away at it (your brain) this has happened to someone I know very tragic!
