Aspergers is like everyone else has stated, a form of autism. I acutally worked with a boy in a special education class who had it. He was very very smart. He was 5 and could read books that 5th graders could not read. What he lacked was the social aspect of things. He did not understand what emotions were. He couldn't tell if you were upset or happy. He also could not tell emotions in the other children. He needed a set schedule to be happy and function normally. If his schedule was off balance at all it would send him into a panic.

There is also a book out right now that I'm reading called Born on a Blue Day. It may be something you might want to look into. It's about a man that has aspergers and it explains what he has felt his entire life. It kind of gives you a better understanding of it all.

Hope this helps. =)

Asberger is a form of autism, if I remember correctly - a very high-level functional form of autism. For more info, check out the site below.

asbergers syndrome is where a person can not understand other people, they don't understand others emotions etc. A lot of times they have a particular area where they are very intelligent, like math. But they can not related to people on a personal level.
