I normally use dvd-r's!!
I've been burning movies for a while now, burn them in nero 7!! Open nero, Select "make your own dvd video" in nero 7, it converts everything to vob format, which any dvd player plays! You can drag mpeg, avi's, dat files, you can also design your own dvd menu's!!
If you download a bin file, Download iso buster to get the dat file out of the bin file!! If you don't have nero 7, download the demo, then get the serial off the net!!
hope i've helped!!

Depends how big the file is- could be it won't fit on a cd as cds aren't very big! DVD is more likely but there is still a limit dependant on the disk/burner/file - you might have to enable overburning - see the web for details - NB can damage the burner!!!!! Use with caution!!!
