I'm am very hungry but I am in class right now so I can't eat. Salmon patties sound very good though. If you have never had them, here is a recipe;
1 can (approx. 7 ounces) salmon
1 egg
1/2 cup cracker crumbs (oyster crackers will do, just crush them up real fine)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 celery stick
1 onion diced
olive oil, enough to cover bottom of skillet

Mix the salmon, onion, celery, crackers, pepper, salt, and egg in a big bowl, then using your hands, make patties with the mixed ingredients, put olive oil in the pan and place one or two patties in the pan at a time. Don't flip the patties! They fall apart easily. Cook till golden brown and once they are done, squeeze some lemon on them. YUMMY!

along with that, we use red chili to spice it up if you dont want to make the sauce you can buy a can or red chili sauce just warm it up & soak the salmon patties in the sauce. you will however have to flip the patties. maybe drain the liquid before mixing your ingredients. maybe also add an extra egg. if you want to make your own chili sauce you could do this:

2-3 tablespoons each of flour & oil or shortening
1 small bag of chili powder about 3ozs there is mild & hot your choice
hot water about 4 cups
salt & pepper to taste
toast the flour in the oil when toasted, add half of the water & salt & pepper. stir & make a gravy with it. then add the chili powder to the other half mixing it up then add to the grave & cook a few minutes. then add your salmon patties serve with beans & rice

They are quite good, though they are even better if you use left over salmon(filets or steaks that have been cooked) instead of canned. We ate them quite often growing up, and still eat them from time to time, whenever I have left over salmon.
