It doesn't mean you're guilty at all... Personally, I get very offended when people accuse me of things that I haven't done and it makes me very angry and upset that they don't trust me, and yes, I lash out sometimes, doesn't make me guilty, just hurt. You know in your mind if you are guilty. If you are, whatever you did to be unfaithful, you would have realized it while it was happening, even if not sex, there are other ways of being unfaithful.. but you could be completely faithful and just getting angry because he's accusing you of something you didn't do... that's nothing to joke about.

Not necessarily. Perhaps the idea of unfaithfulness is something offensive that you would never want to have associated with you even in a joking manner.

Like that is a huge insult.

Although I guess people shouldn't be so touchy though.

No. Some people, like myself, don't like to be teased in that way. I take my relationship very serious, and teasing you is a way for him to get an answer out of you, without coming out and asking the question. Tell him that joking like that isn't humorous at all, and you don't like to be toyed with. And then ask him, well, do you have some insecurities about yourself and our relationship? What are you doing? Because guilt will make people ask those questions.

No - It means he has a low opinion of you, or of women in general, and you are right to be insulted.

My boyfriend does that all the time, and when I get mad and tell him to shut up, he says things like, "Why are you mad, got something to hide?" And that just makes me more angry.

there's an old but very true saying; 'guilty conscience angers, or speaks, first!!!!",

,if you have nothing to hide or feel guilty about, you would have no 'vexed' response!!!!!!!!
