a shy girl ask for a date? As you may have noticed, I just asked how to ask a guy out, but I'm super super shy!! I want to go for it, or whatnot, but I don't know how to go about it so I can stay cool and calm and confident.

You'll be surprised how much of work will the next sentence do:
"Hi there. Would you like to go out with me?"
and that's it. That will absolutely 'move' a guy, and the moment you notice his excitement you'll notice that you youself will feel incredibly more confident, you'll feel like you're 'in charge'. And I think that's so powerful it will change the course of your life.
Just imagine what a 'power booster' can that simple sentence be!
It doesn't even have to work out! The fact that you KNOW that you took things in your hands will make you feel more calm and selfconfident than ever! And being a shy girl, that could really change your life. You will most probably never be shy again.
Worth a try, isn't it!? Trust me, you'll feel great.

It is really difficult for a shy person to gain confidence unless you have experience. Might I suggest logging onto a chat room and practicing. Maybe a singles chat room. I know it's not perfect, but it may help.
The other thing you could do is get a good friend to help you.
I am very experienced at helping shy people, but only when ai am helping them face-to-face.

Well first off give him a call on the phone, that way if your face gets red. . he wont see. lol just ask him what he's up to on the day you wanna ask him out and see if we wants to go see a movie or somethin if he's not busy. You don't wanna seem to desperate, but you still wanna drop a hint of hey i like you. Good luck

Its like practice makes perfect. If you sit around worried about things your never gonna do it and your gonna hate yourself.
So go out there, swollow your pride and ask.

Just be yourself. Take a deep breath before you go up to him. Try not to be uptight or aloof. If you ask nicely, I'm sure he'll say yes.

shy doesn't mean to hide yourself.Start with casual conversation,and at some point tell yourself you are strong enough to do it.if you really like this person-go for it girl!!
