Someone very close to me is moving away soon and i want to get him something really really special to remember me by.
Now he is really into music and things like that so i was thinking of getting something to do with one of his favourite bands but then again want soemthing that will remind him of me too and will be touched by the gift and know how much i care about him......I have so many ideas but would appreciate other suggestions?

You can get them something with their favorite band or music, but also give them something that will remind them of you...think of something in your room or an item of your that you already have! Like my friend once gave me a little painting that hung in her room, everytime i see it I remember her and her room and all the fun times we had!

If you have the time before he leaves - create a memory album. If you can get a whole weekend, even better. Take him to the movies, save the stub, go to dinner, bring a camera for lots of photos for the weekend. take pics and save stubs from all the things that you have done, and put together a little memory album that he can take with him and cherish forever. CD's get scratched, things get broken or collect dust. This is something that will stay with him forever. I would also include a calling card in the memory album, so he can always call when he needs you. Make this something fun for yourself, and you can also make yourself a matching album!! Have fun!!
Almost forgot the most important part, write him a note in this album in your own handwriting and tell him how much he means to you. The nice part of this, if you make yourself an album, after you give him his, ask him to write in yours!!
