I am quite familiar with scholarship on early Christianity and I have no idea what you could be talking about. Did you just find some geocities website on Mithraism or something? Email me if you have anything of interest.

Probably because early Christians believed in "Catholic" things like confession and the Eucharist, and didn't make any mention of the "rapture", cheesy 4H sing-along music, or churches that look like warehouses.

It turns out that the 1st-century "Christian" lifestyle is a bit backwards even for people as troglodytic as the fundies.

Because they overwhelmingly support those things that the Catholic churches hold in common communion, though the various schisms between them are still up in the air.
