Why not! About science and logic, Quran is about science and 'logic'. And the fact that adam and eve are an allegorical myth and the fact that moses and jesus are myths, Quran will answer you that clearly with science and 'logic'! But only if you want to learn about Islam and Quran from your heart.. GOD BLESS YOU..Ameeen

Following things are included in the essentials to be a Muslims

"Primary"
1-Allah is one (No one even like Allah).
2-Muhammad is last Messanger of Allah
3-Faith on all prophets of Allah including Adam and Eve.
4-Faith on Quran
5-Faith on all angles.
6-Faith on Final Day (The Jedgement Day).

One of the above point is missing in a human being cant be considered as muslim. Now if some one follow these all 6 points it will be his/her duty to obey all the rules of islam that are further more 1- 5 timePray,2- Fasting,3-Haj 4-Zakah 5-Jihaad
and that dont include to have or to not have faith on " belief in science and logic and evolution " Islam even says to explore the universe and Allah hide alots of things in it so u can enjoy that.
but your second part of question disagree with faith of islam n that is the fact of ADAM and eve and all other prophets.
So try to focus to fullfill the above 6 faithes and then try to fullfill remianing 5 duties and these duties are not included in faith but if some one is disobying them then sins will be added to his/her account and one must pay it to back as punishment because he already committed the 6th point.
Best Regards

Yours would not be an enviable position. The Quran would not like you.

Death for apostasy:
Sura 4:89: "They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks.”

Kill Disbelievers in a cruel fashion:
Sura 5:33: "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they will have an awful doom."

My girlfriend is Muslim, and she believes as you do. She is a scientist, herself, and is quite smart. She just still has a blind spot where gods are concerned.

There are liberal members of most religions that don't adhere to its strictest tenets.

Not truly. It comes with the faith that you believe in Moses and Jesus (pbut) as Prophets of Allah.

I think as long as you're willing to say you hate Israel, and criticize the US, without criticizing anything your culture does....you can be a Muslim.
