The car comes with tires. BUT eventually, those tires wear out and you will have to buy a new set. You can get cheaper tires that may only last 30,000 miles. or more expensive ones that can last over 75,000 miles.

If you buy a brand new car, it will come with new tires on it. They may not be the greatest tires, but you should be able to get some use out of them.

If you buy a used car, it will probably have tires on it too, but they may or may not be in that great of condition. Sometimes people will put new tires on a car in order to try to get more money out of it - this can be nice, since they can usually transfer the warranty to you in case you run into problems with them down the road.

Always be aware of the status of your tires. You should check air pressure regularly (or have someone check it for you) and keep them inflated to the correct pressure (written on the outside of the tire) - underinflation or overinflation can both cause damage or shorten the life of tires.

You should also have your tires rotated occasionally (they will put the front tires on the back and the back tires on the front in order to make them all wear evenly - they will last a lot longer this way).

Keep an eye on the tread on your tires, which is the pattern on the surface of the tire that contacts the road - if you start to see metal belts (they will usually look like little metal wires sticking out) then you should immediately replace them. Watch for uneven wear (like if the left front wears faster than the right front) because it may be an indication of alignment or balance problems. Also watch for any foreign objects sticking out of your tires that can cause them to lose air - you can pick up nails, screws, and a variety of other sharp metal or glass objects that can destroy a tire - a guy I work with actually had a key sticking out of one of his tires once.

Worn tires can be dangerous, especially in wet conditions, since each tire on your car is only contacting the road on a space about the size of a mans fist. Tires can be expensive, so you don't want to waste money replacing them too soon, but you don't want to wait until one fails at high speed, or causes you to slide and crash. You can find recommendations for the amount of tread wear that is acceptable for a tire on manufacturers websites - the smoother the tread looks, the more worn it is.

When buying tires, make sure to get a reputable brand, michelin, firestone, cooper, etc. are all good, though there are others that are cheaper that will get the job done. Be careful, because tire places love to rip you off (along with most other places that work on cars). If you have someone who is more knowledgeable about cars and tires, you should probably take them along to help choose them, and make sure they get installed correctly, and aren't ripping you off.

Good luck!!

CLT,
All cars come with tires. How would you be able to test drive a car without them?

If you don't like the tires that come with the car because they need to be replaced, etc. Do your homework before buying the car to get the best tires for the car you plan to buy.

Good luck.

yes, if you buy a car you have to buy the tires seperate, tires on the vehicle are the ones it comes with, although, if its a new vehicle sometimes with a package they will allow you put different wheels/tires on the car, but those packages tend to be costly

Cars must come with tires, otherwise they are not driveable, and hence can not be licensed.
