These people don't stop - huge company, and all they do is e-mail mass messages about food and potlucks and ordering out. The amount of time they spend doing this each week probably adds up to a full day of lost work.
Who else here would be disgusted about leftover hotdogs at 10 a.m.?

Hmm sounds like they are bored and want a social club at work. I find it odd that somehow they think that everyone is into this. I like to keep my friendships outside the office. I stopped reading them and just deleted without reading them.
Is there any way you could block these messages on your computer? Or send an autoreply. Do you know who is doing this. If you complain, you know what will happen.
This happened to a friend of mine and she found a way to do this as it drove her crazy as well.
This hot dog message would make me ill too.
If someone says "oh, didn't you get the e-mail" just say yes, nothing else is necessary.

I think this just goes to show that no matter what, someone will find a problem with it. Your gripe is that you have a company that likes to communicate and do fun things together; the horror! And to think of all the other people with small problems like inept coworkers, moody bosses, other employees that take credit for other people's work.
How do you muster up the strength to get up and go to work in the morning?
